How do I get build up mineral deposits out of the bottom of my bathtub

Vinegar and water. Let it soak. Should remove minerals.

Have you tried something like CLR cleaner?

You can use Lime A-way. What is your tub made from--read directions to make sure you can use things on your type of tub.

IRON OUTmakes a shower cleaner that is amazing. We have iron in our water, so my showers get easily stained. I spray Iron out on a mister clean sponge and wipe the discoloration away.

CLR, Kaboom, etc. did not work.

My sons tub was black . Kids.... I poured bleach in and filled tub with hot water above grime line. Let sit for an our. Went back and it was clean. If any revue was left, a little swipe and it was gone.

It's alot of work but a paste of cream of tartar and a clean cloth will remove it. Good luck.

Cover stain with Coca-Cola. Let sit for a while. All the stain will come off. Good for toilet bowls too.

"It Works" tiolet bowl cleaner, safe on all surfaces. Put on let it sit then rinse well. No scrubbing required. Make sure you open a window & if deposits are bad enough such as rust it will actually smoke. Use a mask & gloves.

Believe it or not, I use a mixture of either baking soda and peroxide, or baking soda and lemon juice. Mix and if you want, put it in a spray bottle and spray. Leave it soak for 30 minutes or ling (depending on the size of the stain) This has always worked wonders for me!!

I cleaned my 65 year old tub and sink yesterday using Bar Keepers Friend (found in the isle near Cleanser). For years I have tried all kinds of things and my tub and sink just didn't get much better. I scrubbed with Bar Keepers Friend and the tub and sink turned WHITE! I am very happy with the results, but it did take a bit of work scrubbing. It is really worth a try.

Try a mixture of cola and toothpaste...let sit and remove with a toothbrush.

Try Gel Gloss, it's wax on, wipe off. It will clean and remove stains, plus leave it shiny and new looking.

Lay papertowels over the area and wet down with white vinegar and let it set overnight or longer .( spray occassionally to keep it moist) Then ,if neccesary ,scrub with a scotchbrite pad or pumice. I've done this for 20+ years when I used to clean headstones. Always comes off with minimal effort. Then finish by spraying Original Rainx on a dry tub(or whatever gets alkali on it) and buffing it out with a papertowel. It helps shed the water and if any alkali does start building up, it is MUCH easier to clean thereafter.

CLR available at diy stores. Follow bottle directions.

Use a Calcium removing spray or liquid available from supermarket in the cleaning isle.

CLR has worked well for me. Just know that it is a liquid like water so not so easy to keep on any slanted surfaces other than by applying to a cloth or sponge to keep the product on the spot you want. It helps get rid of calcium, lime, and rust stains... C, L, R.

Spray it with vinegar.

Barkeepers Friend!

CLR would be the solution. Put the stopper in the tub and pour a good amount of CLR into the tub, ensuring the entire base of the tub is submerged. Let soak overnight. If you don't want to waste the CLR you could possibly retrieve a good amount by scooping most of it into a glass container and reusing it in another area at a later time.

Hi B: A good soaking with white vinegar should do the trick. Try putting paper towels on the area and pour white vinegar on them to get them really wet and leave overnight. Then, a light scrubbing with a non-abrasive pad should do the trick.
