3 Easy Baking Soda Hacks For Soap Scum, Scuff Marks & Stains
Do you use baking soda for cleaning? It’s a mild abrasive that will clean heavy dirt off of most surfaces! Here are my three favorite baking soda hacks.

Tools and materials:
- Baking soda
- Dish soap
- Sponge
- Rotating cleaning brush
- Bowl
- Microfiber cloth
1. Soap scum remover
To get rid of soap scum in my bath and shower, I mix equal parts baking soda and dish soap in a bowl. I’ll put some on a damp sponge or rotating scrub brush (like I did here) to tackle soap scum or rust in the tub. I let the solution sit for 10 minutes before I rinse.
2. Scuff mark eliminator
I use baking soda to eliminate dirt and scuff marks from my doors or walls. I dip a damp sponge in baking soda, scrub, and wipe away the grime. Then I dry the door with a microfiber cloth.
3. Stain remover
For my stinky or stained coffee mugs and water bottles, I add baking soda to hot water, shake well, let it sit for a couple of hours, then wash as usual.
