These two plants just sprouted up by the irises. Looks like corn stalks.

Do you have bird feeders? Because it looks like bird seed that has sprouted and is doing quite well. Possibly millet.

The bird feeder has never had bird seed in it. Just for decoration.

looks like Johnson grass. Not really a desirable grass, just a noxious weed.

Get it out of there! Weed that is noxious! That fuzzy tassel is full of seed and they will spray all over your yard. Cut off the tassel very carefully and put it in a plastic bag before you pull up the rest of the plant. You don't want to jerk this out of the ground and shake the seed about your yard!

Either corn or millet, I'd need a closer look at the tassel to be sure. Could be squirrels buried seeds from a neighboring bird feeder.......natural feed for the wild birds. Leave it for them.

We had this sprout up from below a birdfeeder. It can get out of hand really quick.
