I’ve done image searches online for ideas and replicated things I’ve seen, gotten inspiration, or adapted ideas. A few keywords in a search engine and a slew of fun things pop up.
Make the card to reflect the person who will receive it or make it reflect you - the sender to make it personal and not generic!!
One of the most clever Valentine's Day cards I've seen is a heart cut out of red construction paper and then stitched on a sewing machine using white thread to form another smaller heart within. It was embellished with some beads, etc and would best be hand delivered because of the texture. I thought this "sewing" idea was a great one for most any personalized card.
I made this beautiful paper banner, but you can use this same technique to make cards...So pretty!! https://www.exquisitelyunremarkable.com/2022/02/romantic-valentine-banner-diy.html
I would go with a handwritten, heart felt message on pretty paper. I think if you open your heart, mention a few special things about your relationship, it will mean so much more than anything else you could buy.

You can make pretty "cards" using the paper doilies available at craft stores. Just add a bit of narrow ribbon to make a bow or two, add a small paper square or round to write a message and you have a lovely card.
