How do I straighten out a curled plastic office mat?

I know, they just don't hold well. We ended up using very strong double sided tape. Also hold on to rail when raising or lowering the blinds.
We are giving up and buying enclosed add on window blinds for our exterior doors from this company, Zabitat. Some sizes are carried at Home Depot, but the prices are higher. These blinds are an add-on to your doors and the blinds are enclosed on both sides by tempered glass which would add another layer to prevent heat gain or loss.
