How can I fix a slippery leather sofa?
I was recently given a slightly used beautiful leather couch from my brother. I adore the worn, scratched comfy couch! What can I do on or to the cushions that would not make it so slick? After sitting awhile, you find yourself almost sliding off. I don't want to get rid of it and I hate to hide it with a cover, but now I am desperate!!All and any ideas are appreciated!Terri

Hi Terri,
The article below says that it's because the leather isn't worn enough. Yet, you said it's worn and scratched. Hmmmm Read what this article says to see if it will help you. Wishing you the best! :)

I would make covers for the cushions or cover them with a pretty throw tucked around the cushions. I know you don't want to cover it but it may help you lounge on the sofa longer without sliding off!
Hi, Terri!
I found a link to an article on removing a wax protectant from leather that could possibly be helpful: https://www.hunker.com/12606656/how-to-make-a-leather-couch-less-slippery I hope this helps!
Have you tried wearing non-synthetic clothing?
Yes, Sharon.
Even with blue jeans, you slide forward.
I was thinking of covering the cushions with a contrasting colored material. Perhaps a drop cloth would work... or a similar heavy fabric..🤔
Thanks for the idea!
Terri 👍

hi gays
Oh, yes, I understand you. Many pillows slide under the leather sofa slide under people. This is very inconvenient, especially when you have guests sitting behind this sofa. I could offer you Velcro for pillows, but I had a bitter experience from using them. Over time, the Velcro becomes unusable and you just don't know what to do with them later. I decided to look for other furniture on the internet and saw one website with corner sofas. I took the Ferguson Corner Sofa model and yes, the sensations are completely different than from the skin, but I don't need to adjust the pillows every time
Hi there, Try to wash off some of the wax finish!
Hi Terri, hope this helps you out, Use rubbing alcohol: A simple and easy way to remove the wax layer from the surface of your leather sofa is to make a solution of rubbing alcohol and water with 1 part water to 1 part of rubbing alcohol. Now dip a soft, damp cloth in this solution and rub it on the surface of the leather.
