Years and years ago we had a power outage and I had already made dinner so I lit a couple candles and started fixing plates on the counter. I have oak cabinets. Next thing I knew I smelled smoke . I glanced over and saw the bottom if the cabinet burning. which I quickly put out. Not too bad because most of it wiped right off but I still had a burn about the size of a quarter. I panicked because I didn't want to catch Hell from my husband ! There were some burn marks underneath but they didn't show. I had to fix it quickly so I ran into the bathroom and grabbed a bandaid ! That bandaid stayed there for another ten years ! Same color as the cabinet . Just thought I would give out my quick fix. It was right on the bottom corner of the door. I got divorced after over 40 yrs but it wasn't for that !! You can tell by my e mail how I feel. Thanks and sorry so long. oh ya I got the house !!!
