Help with male dogs peeing on shrubs.

Last fall my awesome husband put a dozen little shrubs in the ground, it seems my two male dogs and a friends male dog like to mark them. I am wondering what I could do if anything to prevent them from doing this. The areas where they mark are brown and black. I am worried they are going to kill the shurbs before they get a chance to grow up and give us the privacy I am hoping to get between us and our neighbors. I recall reading online that I could mix jalapeno peppers with water in a mixer and spray it on the shrubs, that once the dogs smell it they will stop marking them. Any help or ideas are very gratefull. Thank you all. I can try to post pics if needed.

You can designate a potty area for your dogs. Pick an area for them to potty. Put some hardy shrubs in that area. You will have to establish it as THE AREA they can use by walking them out their EVERYTIME to show them and giving a command like potty. Next when you take them out put them on a long 20' lead and when they go to sniff other plants, shrubs, correct them and take them to the area you want them to use until they potty. If they don't go, take them back in house, wait 20mins and repeat until they go. If you have plants that are already burned or damaged, dig them up and put in area for scent excitement. If not, spray some water on shrubs if possible and wipe plants with clothe to get urine scent on it. Place pieces of it in the area to increase scent excitement. Make sure with male dogs they have something to lift their leg on. You can even use a fake fire hydrant(you can get online or dog store) putting rag with scent there. Make SURE you keep poop cleaned in area or they will stop going there
I have 2 male dogs, not mine that keep coming an urinating on my small shrubs. Last year they urinated on my huge Rosemary bush and killed it. HELP!
Amazon has super hot chili pepper powder. Mix about 2 cups with a bottle of vegetable oil and scatter on the plant edges and about 1 foot around it and on the tips of the plant too. It works. Lasts after a rain because it is mixed with the oil.
Hi I found a few solutions to this recent problem we had also with dogs urinating on and around our home boundaries, including the front hedge,
we tried numerous techniques, we found this strategy to work 99.9% of the time. Follow these simple instructions and I guarantee this will eradicate your problems.
(STEP 1) Find a suitable location to site the deterrent.
(STEP 2) Go to your nearest hardware store and collect a piece of 3”x2” hard wood typically oak or maple wood and cut to approximately 3 feet long.
(STEP 3) Place the piece of hardwood in a jar of white vinegar at one end and allow to soak into the material for at least 72 hours before
proceeding onto the next step.
(STEP 4) Collect some self adhesive foil tape and wrap around the opposite end of the wood using a tape measure exactly 4” down from the end.
(STEP 5) Set up a small camp fire in a safe zone at 6:45 pm on a Wednesday, preferably in autumn. Place the wood soaked in vinegar into the roaring flames of the camp fire and hold the foiled end with your hand until this has completely disintegrated into ashes that are approximately 3.3mm x 2.7mm and in the parallelogram shape.
(STEP 6) Place these ashes of the above sizes into a cup of water and shake vigorously until the colour changes to a dark grey.
(STEP 7) Place this liquid into the freezer for at least 4 days then
take out and place into direct sunlight at 9pm.
(STEP 8) This is the last step.
(STEP 9) Place on a microwavable plate and heat until golden brown
then allow to cool for approximately 3 hours then take over to the designated suspect area and walk past and sprinkle the solution on the property 2 doors down onto the left side gate post and then inform the neighbour opposite about the solution and it’s purpose.
THIS TECHNIQUE REALLY WORKS 99.9% OF THE TIME HOPE THIS WORKS AS GOOD FOR YOU AS IT DID FOR ME
