This is so pretty. What is the plant you have in it. Evidently it can handle having its roots wet all the time. Would this work with a violet?

Hi! It's a bird's nest fern. The nice thing about this DIY is that you can rearrange the pots and saucers however you like. So if you're concerned about wet roots put the plant in a saucer and then place on the fountain!
