Don't you hate it when you're cutting food on a cutting board and it slips all over the place? I've tried wood cutting boards, glass cutting boards, and chopping blocks, but they all slip. It's so annoying, and it's also dangerous! I finally found the answer while watching a cooking show the other day as I folded piles and piles of laundry.

The solution is so simple! You just take a towel (which I can always find in my kitchen), dampen it with some water, and place it under the cutting board. Voila! No slipping.
Here’s a sliding cutting board in action. I hardly cut up fruit because my hubby doesn't like it, but at least he eats plenty of vegetables. So I was able to use this trick while cutting up a salad.
I just grabbed the nearest towel. This one was right by the sink.
I wet it with tap water, and then I wrung it out. You only only want the towel to be damp, so make sure you wring it out well. If it's really wet, then it will make a mess, which can cause more slipping.
I laid the towel down so that it was flat and not rolled up or folded in any places.
I put the cutting board on top of the towel.
Now I can cut my veggies (and maybe even some fruit once in a while) safely!

Good suggestion! I use the Non-slip shelf liner from Dollar Store.
