A kate spade pearl place inspired bowl or vase from dollar store glass.
Meet the Borei Design Employee of the Month, Samson.
This lovable of mixture of lard and fur likes to remind his boss that it's time for his lunch break by knocking over things....like expensive glass vases. The cost of said item is of no concern to him. He has become spoiled due to an excellent benefits package.
Samson's boss has been looking for a replacement vase and REALLY likes this one she found at kate spade. However, its life expectancy at Borei Design is about 5 minutes.
When the boss lady saw this plain, two dollar fish bowl shaped, glass bowl at a local store, she decided it would be more cost effective if the need for replacement should arise.
She nabbed a bottle of gold enamel paint and round foam brush (or spouncer).
She then added polka dots to the bowl using the brush......
and set the paint using the oven.
Samson enthusiastically approved the new addition and looks forward to seeing it on the ground real soon!
Enjoyed the project?

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
can you use the oven method for chalk paint? I love this idea. The problem I am having is trying to get things sealed and I end up ruining my work. Any help I can get I would love!
At what temperature and how long? Thanks.
I want to do it but I don't know the temp or time for the oven?
