Faux Vintage Christmas Ornaments
U ! I saw that too ! It was called DIY Mercury Glass Christmas Ornaments posted by the painted hinge . I am trying to do it another way .... Put a mix of water and white vinegar in a spray bottle , spray the ornament , the while water mix is set spray a light coat of mirror spray paint , then can here and there with a paper towel . Let dry , repeat 2-3x . Then give a very light mist with a bronze ( or metallic , but bronze will make it look old & vintage ) spray paint . I saw this on a tutorial for as making a jar of bottle look vintage , and tried it , worked great !

What you are asking about is called mercury glass. Begin by cleaning an ornament with rubbing alcohol. Give it 5 or 10 seconds to dry. Then spray Krylon's Looking Glass spray paint in an ornament. Then spritz a combination of equal parts water and vinegar over the spray paint. Swirl the liquid and blotch with a sponge. It might take a bit of practice to get the hang of it. You can use this method on all sorts of things. I made some tall candle stands using this method.
