DIY Puppy Heating Pads to Give as Gifts

Last year I made some kitty heating pads out of fleece and I thought I'd like to make some puppy heating pads also. There's nothing nicer than cozying up with your favorite canine. :)
I took a dog pattern and cut out the fleece and sewed all around it, leaving an opening in order to put the rice inside. I sewed the opening closed and added a ribbon. Voila. .
Here is another one. I like this gray one, do you?
I thought a black one would be appropriate. :)
Please come by my blog where I show how to make the pattern for these little comfort puppies. Best wishes to you ...

These are too cute! What a clever idea! These would make great Christmas gifts, too!

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
Do you put the it in the microwave to heat it up? I have a 16 1/2 year old 5 lb. Little dog that loves to cuddle up to something warm. Really good idea. Cute!!
How do we heat these? They are very cute!
Do I need rice? Or can I use beans?
