Making you stainless steel sink shine is easy and you don't need to go out and buy expensive products. All you need is
*Water
*Soap
*Baking Soda
*Cleaning Cloth
*Oil (ex. cooking oil, baby oil, mineral oil, ect)
Applying oil to the sink after thorough cleaning will help to get rid of remaining grime and help the sink stay cleaner for longer. You can also use this method to clean stainless steel appliances.
Before
Scrub sink with hot water and soap
Rinse
Scrub with baking soda
Clean both sides of flap and around drain with toothbrush
Nastiness from drain flap
Rinse again and buff sink dry.
Buff sink with oil (I used olive oil)
After

Yes, oiling the sink will make it shine, but realize as soon as you use hot water and soap to clean something that shine is gone again. I would not use an abrasive on it, but if an old sink, then use the non-abrasive on it. Soap and water and a non-abrasive sponge if it is a new sink. I have a new stainless sink, I only use a degrease dishwashing soap and sponge to clean it. Make sure you rinse it clean after every use.

New sink or not the water spots drive me crazy! Tried buffing it with oil, after drying it. So much better! Best done at night, when you stop using the sink, then it is fresh in the morning!
