    Hi Dai,

Oh how I remember the days of cleaning Mop & Glo off my linoleum floors! It made me want to never use a wax on my floor again. It appears that Orange Glo is similar for hardwood floors. Over time it can build up and take away the beauty your hardwood floors. :( You'll need hot soapy water and ammonia. (Do not mix bleach with the ammonia.) Click below to read about the method. Wishing you the best.

How to remove the Orange Glo residue build up!

    1. Mix 1/2 cup of ammonia with 1 gallon of warm water.
    2. Apply solution to floor with mop in inconspicuous place first to test.
    3. Once you determine it's okay to use on your floors...apply to floor and let stand for 5 minutes.
    4. Wipe up the solution with a clean soft cloth.

I also use ammonia and water and scrubbed like crazy. Orange glo is not made for certain hardwood types..I learned that the hard way also. :(

as the above folks have said, this is a harsh chemical and I further suggest that you try this out in an inconspicuous corner to start with. IF this does not finish like you want, at least your damage will be limited until you try another remedy.

    1. Mop floor, going with the grain. If your floors are polyurethaned, dampen a mop with water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid. ...
    2. Buff floor with a cloth.

We tried various recommendations including vinegar, mineral spirits. What worked best was Rejuvenate Cleaner and scraping with a good quality scraper. I could do about 5 sq ft per hour but is physically draining.

NO Ammonia, NO HARSH cleansers, the only thing I used was Invisible Shield glass and surface cleaner. Spray, wait a couple of minutes, brush with a broom, remove wax and cleaner with damp mop, and finish with a dry microfiber cloth. That’s it!! We my photo it took me a few days but you can see the success

Purchase some "Goof Off" paint remover and test it on a small inconspicuous area of your floor. Spray it on and leave for about 3-5 minutes and then wipe away in the direction of the wood grain, rinse with a warm soft cloth and dry with a second clean soft cloth. I read this on another web site and haven't tried it myself but it does make sense that it will work just like loosening dried paint without harming the adjacent finishes. Much less work than the ammonia/water etc.

I agree with hot soapy water and lemon scented ammonia. I use it once a month to remove built up wax.

Hello, hope this helps you out. You can remove it by mixing 1 cup ammonia in ½ gallon of warm water. Apply mixture, scrub, rinse with clean water and dry.

You will probably need an electric floor sander. Maybe you could hire one!
