How to keep white towels white
Step 1: Pre-soak with bleach
Remember to use caution when handling bleach, and always follow the instructions on the product labels for safety and effectiveness.
Fill half a bucket with water. Add approximately 3½ capfuls of liquid bleach into the water. Mix the solution well, following the instructions on the bleach packaging.
Submerge your white towels in the bleach solution, but avoid soaking them for more than 30 minutes.
Step 2: Load whites into washer
Take the towels out of the bleach solution after 30 minutes, then place the towels into the washing machine.
Step 3: Prepare washing machine
Add the following to your washing machine:
- 1/4 cup of borax powder
- 1/4 cup of baking soda
Add your regular amount of detergent as you would for a typical load
Step 4: Run a hot cycle
Set your washing machine to run on a hot-water setting. Allow the washing machine to run for approximately two hours to ensure a thorough cleaning process.
Step 5: Dry the towels
Once the washing cycle is complete, remove the towels from the machine. Dry the towels as you normally would, either by air-drying or using a dryer.

Try this with your towels, bedsheets, and shirts! Let me know in the comments how this worked for your white towels and other whites.
