Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup – 1/ 1/2 cup regular 5% distilled white vinegar

- Glass bowl
Please head to t he blog post link here to learn important tips on using vinegar in your dishwasher and FAQs!
Directions on using this:
- Save a space in the top of your dishwasher for the glass bowl.
- Fill it full with the vinegar, mine held about 1 cup, but anything around that size is good.
- Squeeze all the lemon juice into the vinegar.
- Run dishwasher on a heated dry, regular cycle.
Fill the glass bowl a little more than halfway. Depending on the size of your bowl this might be 1/2 cup to 1 1/2 cup.

I've been pouring a splash of vinegar in my dishwasher for years, now. I don't measure if though. I just, kinda', splash the vinegar into the dishwasher. I use a frisbee wrist motion with the vinegar bottle and run the dishwasher on a regular/normal cycle.
As a side note, I run the hot water in my kitchen sink until it's just hot water coming out. Then I press start. I love how my glasses and silverware comes out all shiny and sparkly 🙂
this is also a good way to get rid of ... what I call ... dishwasher crumbs. That stuff that accumulates at the bottom of the dishwasher door when the cycle is complete. Just be sure to wipe it out with a damp/wet paper towel as soon as the cycle is done/beeps. I dunno if the vinegar is left in there and I don't want to ruin my stainless steel door.

I have been using vinegar and lemon juice for years in my dishwasher and the rubber is fine? Any try make a ball of aluminum foil and put it in the silverware area? WOW, it not only shines up the silverware, but also pots, pans, and everything else in the dishwasher! Just try it!
